Why restore a Japanese sports car?

In 2000 a dear friend asked us to assist him in finding a car that reflected his aesthetic sensibility. He found this 240Z and loved the long hood, the short rear end, and the sound that came from the straight 6 under the hood. In 2009 he relocated his family and business to Shanghai, China at which point European Auto Restoration inherited the car.

Because we have a relationship with this car and we know its mechanical condition to be sound, we have decided to restore this Datsun to our exacting standards. In addition to rust repair, correcting the interior and re-applying the long since covered up ivory paint, a trio of side draft weber carburetors will be installed to make this a perfect vintage GT.
