This Volvo was purchased new in London as a left hand drive car with intentions to return stateside. It made its way back to the states and stayed in the family, making many road trips and memories through the years. In 2021 it arrived at European Auto Restoration and revealed some fairly serious structural rust. Corroded metal on the floors and other areas was exposed, new metal was welded in, and panels were replaced where possible. Once the structure was all solid metal once again the body was refinished, repainted, and reassembled. An air conditioning system was retrofitted to the car, which will make future road trips so much more enjoyable. This old fella, dubbed Colonel Mustard, was finished in 2024 and is back on the road continuing to make memories!
