MOLLY BROWN - 1961 Mercedes-Benz 220 Sb
Molly Brown belonged to a young couple many years ago, and together they had many adventures. Molly made such an impression on them that some years later they wanted to recreate the experience they had with her. The process began with finding a car that was close to the same year and color as the original Molly Brown. After many months of searching the perfect candidate was located in Vermont. In the summer of 2011 she was transported to Michigan to begin a complete restoration. Over the next four years each piece and part of the car was dismantled, stripped, welded, refinished, painted and put back together. Every piece of brightwork was re-chromed. The wood trim was restored by master carpenter Gerardo Michele. The headliner, seats and leather panels were all fabricated from scratch. All of the mechanical systems were restored and carefully re-installed. The car became Molly Brown, and she was ready to start making new memories.
