1966 Porsche 911
This very early air cooled 911, who we call Olga, was manufactured at the end of 1965 and finished in early 1966. It sports many unique features that characterize early 911's. Because it is a rare specimen we are saving it despite extensive rust and a non-original engine. Every effort will be made to retain the many details that make this 911 different from its brothers and sisters that came later in the production run.
Olgas restoration began in 2016 when her owner at the time had her dismantled, the project was put on hold and brought back out in 2018 for metal stripping and priming. Olga was then sold to her current owner who committed to completing her restoration. Work resumed in early 2022 when Olga was fitted to our frame bench with custom Porsche jigs. She was completely re-skinned with new sheet metal, including all of her floor pans. The new metal was sealed and she was refinished with her original Light Ivory Glasurit paint.
